Assorted rows of mortar bombs in various conditions and states. There is a combination of mortar bombs with fuzes & safety devices intact, damaged fuzing, missing tail sections, as well as training rounds included. However, the common attribute that they all share is the presence of hazardous high explosives contained within. Interestingly, the two unpainted/silver coloured mortar bomb bodies in the centre of image are assessed to be improvised ordnance recovered mid-manufacture. The wide variety of conditions in which these mortar bombs have been consolidated is typically indicative of confiscated ammunition from destroyed weapon systems, illicit ammunition stockpiles, and/or separated from previously constructed IEDs. Several metal tubes can also been seen that are assessed to be either rocket launch tubes, or rocket bodies.
