These rocket propelled grenades despite having no indications of being previously fired, do contain sensitive fuzing. Due to the simple construction of these ordnance, especially fuzing, it is easy for the fuze to enter a hazardous condition through rough handling and external impacts. Despite most of these ordnance being designed to attack armoured vehicles, they have been also used against targets behind walls, as well as aircraft. The self-destruct features in some of these fuzes have also enabled these grenades to be used as improvised anti-aircraft artillery, detonating the warhead at a certain distance in the sky. The simple construction of these rocket propelled grenades, as well as their widespread availability, has led to the evolution of specific tactics used against modern armoured vehicles where multiple "waves" of these ordnance are fired at the same vehicle to overcome explosive reactive armour (ERA), degrade combat effectiveness through destruction of external components & electronics, as well as exploiting weak areas when the armoured vehicle has been forcefully stopped.
